A-Z Blogging Challenge, Minions & #VPK

Monday, January 25, 2016

Psst! It's that time of year already. Did I hear you asking what time? Well, the A to Z Blogging Challenge will return in April and it's time to sign up and start planning.

The brainchild of Arlee Bird, at Tossing it Out, the A to Z Challenge consists of posting every day in April except Sundays (we get those off for good behavior.) And since there are 26 days, that matches the 26 letters of the alphabet. On April 1, blog about something that begins with the letter “A.” April 2 is “B,” April 4 is “C,” and so on. You can use a theme for the month or go random – just as long as it matches the letter of the alphabet for the day.

The A to Z Challenge is a great way to get into the blogging habit and make new friends. For more details and its history, go HERE.

Hop over to the site to sign up and get additional information about the challenge.

I'm on the hunt for some industrious individuals to help me check a section of the sign-up list during the challenge. If you're game, leave me a message in the comments or email me at jmwordsmith at gmail dot com. Thanks!

Apart from the A-Z Challenge, I have other exciting news. It's drawing ever closer to the release date of the Valentine Pets & Kisses Boxed set. Fourteen talented writers have produced this collaboration of sweet romance novellas, each with a cuddly pet. Pre-order yours before the price goes up!

Reflection Post - 2012 A-Z Challenge

Sunday, May 6, 2012

Last year, the A-Z sounded like a fun and interesting challenge. I wanted to see whether I could post thirty days in a row, and I did. At the end I felt like I’d been pushing myself hard, but 2011 was a better A-Z challenge year for me in many ways.

I was smart enough to write a few days in advance and only covered a writing related subject, as well as a Jamaican food  item. This year, I got more inventive and did people, places and things Jamaican.  This seemed to work well, as the people who came by found the information interesting.

Take Five With...Damyanti

Sunday, August 28, 2011

I’m not sure how long ago I met Damyanti online, but she’s been a wonderful friend. I’m in awe of what she does in a few words.  In short, she’s a skilled writer. Damyanti has agreed to share a bit about herself and her writing, here at the Character Depot.
